About Us

History
Established over 25 years ago as 'Humber Kayaks' a Kayak construction & retail business with its own clothing Brand 'Style of Hull' it moved to its current high street retail establishment in 1986. The business has revolved about its owner who established canoe clubs and coached for many years but background experience is sailing and Mountainering and current love is skiing. For several years the business had two additional outlets but family berevment led to a contraction to the original establishment.

Mission Statement
The owner has always been in coaching and the business reflect good practice in encouraging correct equipment selection for the novice so that they can safely enjoy and develop in their chosen sport .

Qualification
The owner has worked in Outdoor centres, done Summer & Winter Mountain Leadership courses at the National Centres, SPS climbing. A canoeing instructor for over 30 years he has led paddlers in Sprint, Marathon & Slalom disciplines to National & International levels as well as enjoying canadian & sea kayaking. Coaching and establishing clubs occupied most of his life for over 20 years as a full time school teacher.
A City & Guilds Mech. Eng. has helped in having a respected ski services workshop.
